Essential Functions:
- Reports to the COO
- Establish project timelines for projects that have been handed off.
- Manages subcontractors, ensuring that all paperwork is properly submitted, and
subcontractors deliver on Scope of Work as outlined in the contract documents. - Work with all necessary departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to
ensure budgetary concerns are addressed in a timely manner. - Coordinates with all necessary departments to maintain internal project schedules.
- Design: Assigns designers to various roles within the Design Department to
meet project schedules and administers the project schedule for third party
engineers.. - Production: Communicates delivery schedule requirements to the Production
Manager including changes and is responsible for communicating any - Installation/Testing: Coordinates the production schedule with the Production
and Installation Managers to ensure fulfillment of project installation schedules.
- Design: Assigns designers to various roles within the Design Department to
- Attend budget meetings with all relevant parties on a bi-weekly basis.
- Identify work that is not within the project scope and direct sales to create and submit
change orders. - Responsible to maintain an accurate change order log for each project.
- Responsible for internal project reporting (update CRM)
- Required to maintain and submit to customer a material and submittal log for each
project. Required to maintain the Project Manager’s SharePoint with all necessary
documents and submittals. - Maintain clear communication between Summit and the customer on a regular basis,
and as per Summit’s Email Etiquette and Response Time Policy. - Support the sales team to promote retention of customers.
- Support operations and administrative functions.
- Administer weekly Critical Path Meeting and disseminate relevant project information
and instructions. - Follow up on all departmental assignments to maintain project schedules.
- Provide manpower loaded schedules to customers as requested.
- Conduct project Kick Off Meeting with customer (in process of development)
- Ensure that customer adds all necessary team members to project notification list.
- Report project milestones weekly to the finance department for accurate billings; attend
weekly Finance CP Meeting - Respond to all internal emails per Summit’s Email Etiquette and Response Time Policy.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills required.
- Experience managing projects in a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Technical background with related construction experience.
- Strong leadership capability: demonstrating accountability and taking ownership. Ability
to motivate others to perform. - Agility to successfully negotiate challenging problems.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, navigating changing priorities and conflicting
demands. - Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license, passport, and ability to travel on occasion to meet business
objectives. - Strong PC computer skills (MS Office) required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, building and maintaining strong working
relationships with all team members. - Ability to work with challenging personalities in a professional manner.
